Flavonolignans reduce platelet activity
We aimed to explore how flavonolignans from silybum marianum, specifically silybin, silychristin, and silydianin, affect blood clotting through the COX pathway in platelets. Our methods involved analyzing platelet aggregation and the formation of COX pathway metabolites.

The findings were promising; these compounds showed a reduction in platelet aggregation and COX activity. Silychristin and silybin emerged as the most effective inhibitors, potentially acting as competitive blockers at the active COX site. This suggests that flavonolignans might offer new avenues for antiplatelet and anti-inflammatory therapies.

We investigated how incorporating nitrosoglutathione (GSNO) into poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) tubing could enhance its blood compatibility in medical devices. This innovative material showed promising results in hemocompatibility tests, significantly reducing platelet activation and maintaining high platelet counts during blood circulation. While traditional PVC tubing occluded and formed larger blood clots, GSNO-PVC loops produced smaller clots and showed better performance overall. These findings invite further research into GSNO-PVC as a safer alternative for blood-contacting medical devices, potentially reducing dependence on systemic anticoagulation.

Zwitterionic microgel coating prevents clots
We discovered a novel coating called BSMC, made from special microgels that mimic the action of glutathione to help prevent blood clots on medical devices.

This coating is designed to resist unwanted attachment of proteins and cells while also generating nitric oxide, which plays a key role in reducing platelet adhesion.

Our rabbit blood circulation tests showed that BSMC significantly outperformed traditional methods in preventing thrombosis. Overall, this microgel coating offers a promising solution for enhancing the safety of blood-contacting medical devices.

Liver tests improved

Extremely good! I have been diagnosed with fatty liver, and my liver function tests were high. I took 500 mg alongside my usual regimen of vitamins C and E, as I am also diabetic and hypertensive. After 2-3 months, my liver function tests returned to normal, and my blood sugar level decreased, which I attribute to this supplement. I continue to take it to maintain my liver health and regularly order it from iHerb.com, especially appreciating Now Products.

I ordered this for myself, but ended up giving it to my husband’s parents during COVID. They both found relief; my father-in-law had a fever, and my mother-in-law, who was on oxygen, experienced a notable improvement in her general condition. I also added tree bark and chlorophyll to their regimen.

Circulation improved

I've just started taking it hoping for the best. It seems to improve blood circulation and aid those with peripheral artery issues, enabling longer walks. I believe it helps combat autoimmune diseases, reduces oxidative stress in children with autism, and supports better control of blood sugar levels.

We investigated how liposomal glutathione (L-GSH) can impact blood clotting issues linked to COVID-19, specifically focusing on the spike protein's role in causing immunothrombosis.

In our study, we observed that adding L-GSH to cell cultures significantly reduced harmful cytokine levels, fibrin clot formation, and oxidative stress. These findings suggest that L-GSH has potential benefits as a supplementary treatment in managing blood clotting complications associated with severe COVID-19.

However, further research is needed to fully understand its therapeutic effects in patients.

LDSB-KSFY07 inhibits thrombosis response
We investigated how LDSB-KSFY07 impacts thrombosis in mice induced by kappa-carrageenan. This research highlighted that LDSB-KSFY07 diminished thrombotic symptoms and improved blood clotting times.

Additionally, it was successful in reducing harmful oxidative stress markers while boosting essential antioxidants in the mice's serum and liver tissues. Our observations also indicated improvements in liver health alongside changes in gut microbial composition that may support cardiovascular health.

Despite these promising outcomes, this study indicates that LDSB-KSFY07 showcases effects similar to heparin, warranting further exploration of its therapeutic potential.

Taking glutathione and NAC together has a detoxifying effect, so I bought it for vaccine shedding. I also give it to my family who have had several vaccinations. Everyone's blood circulation has improved, and complexions have become better. Glutathione is an ingredient used in beauty clinics, so my skin has improved in condition and colour. It's somewhat pricey, but I believe it's worth it.

Improved blood flow

I felt quite unwell post-coronavirus and often tired, which may also be due to age. I tried glutathione after hearing it could help with post-coronavirus symptoms. From the first dose, my blood flow improved, and I felt significantly better. It was surprising, but it seemed to have an immediate effect on me. Despite the large capsule size, I had no trouble swallowing it. It also appears to have a beautifying effect on my skin and enhances mental clarity. I’m beginning to live each day with more enthusiasm and will continue taking it.

Balanced blood sugar
Taking glutathione for two years has had great benefits. My blood sugar, which was previously a bit high, has now balanced out. I've switched from liquid to pills, making it convenient, and I feel I sleep better now. My low blood sugar levels are also an improvement, and I'm definitely planning to buy it again.

Not recommended
I didn’t like it at all compared to glutathione injections. I tried it myself and for my children, as we have high ammonia in the blood. It caused stomach discomfort and made me feel sleepy. I attempted taking it at night, but I woke with a heavy head. Overall, I do not recommend it; it was not worth the money based on my personal experience, and I bought it as directed by a doctor.

Silibinin shows promise for COVID-19
We explored silibinin from Silybum marianum as a potential treatment against SARS-CoV-2, focusing on its anti-inflammatory and anticoagulant effects. Through in silico analysis, we found that silibinin effectively binds to key viral proteins, suggesting it could inhibit the virus's entry and replication.

Our in vitro studies showed that silibinin also reduces expressions of proinflammatory genes linked to blood clotting. Overall, while silibinin shows promise, the need for more comprehensive clinical trials is crucial to fully understand its therapeutic potential against COVID-19.
